Maybe this look isn’t exactly fit for a winter stroll, but hey, if you’re just going to Uber over to your destination anyway, then it’s for-some-realzz winter appropriate. Plus, like winter coats totally exist. : D
It’s not often that I base an entire outfit around a pair of shoes, but I can’t remember the last pair I owned with a fairy tale creature that walked me from point A to B. Even without the show stopping gnome component, they are just exquisite. And so, this look turned into Carrie Bradshaw-meets-Betsey Johnson-meets a 7 year old playing dress up. All of these have one thing in common: strong personal style and total disregard for anyone’s opinion of what they “should” wear (at least that was me at 7…worst child to try to dress, sorry mommabear!).
A tribute to over the top, unconventional dressing is just what these pumps called for (with a side of quirky-sexy). But they are such a strong piece all on their own, that they could absolutely be worn with a simple outfit (slinky red dress; jeans and a white t…), if you prefer to let the shoes do the talking. It’s just as much fun going that route too– a pop of unexpected in an otherwise classic ensemble. You just can’t go wrong with them.
