The Bavarian Inn, WV: “European Elegance on the Potomac”
I can’t believe this gorgeous, magical place in only 1 hour from D.C.! What a wonderful getaway spot to unwind and feel like you’ve been transported to Europe.
I’m going to keep this post brief, because I’m v sleepy 😄 but was annoyed that I had not yet posted about this experience ha (earlier I responded to an email with “thank you, you you!” instead of “you too”…).
So, here is my recap of this tranquil respite (the photos speak for themselves):
We stayed in the “Mansion Suite”, and had the entire floor to ourselves, with stunning views of the infinity pool and Potomac river.
The adorable Shepherdstown is just steps away, and you can access the shops and dining via the cute blue cruiser bikes provided by the Bavarian Inn!
Historic Harpers Ferry is also minutes away.
The infinity pool is the definitely the main event– relax, grab food & bevz at the Pool Bar, take in the views..
We also really enjoyed the gourmet food options in the Potomac Dining Room (and check out the pic of our room service dinner..fancyy), and the newest addition to the Inn, the Bavarian Brothers Brewing pub and lounge, offers seasonal beers (made onsite).
While in the Shepherdstown area, we also explored the various nearby vineyards– I suggest stopping by Antietam Creek Vineyards:
