Coated Denim

I’m happy to see that coated denim (the glossy, leather-like sheen) is still in for fall…not because the approval of the fashion world is a prerequisite to successfully pulling it off, but because this means stores will continue to carry ample versions of these hard-to-resist pieces. Go ahead, strut your stuff in these coveted leather look-alikes– you’ll find they have a level of comfort and ease, topped off with a hearty dose of glam.

Floppy hat is from Forever21 (last season)– loving this studded one from ASOS though; Sunnies are Jessica Simpson (slightly embarrassed to admit that)..here’s a cute cat eye pair from Urban Outfitters; Top and blazer are H&M..can’t seem to find the blazer online, but try this one!; Pants are last-season Express, but they now have an even more leather-like version (although, it’s getting away from the denim look), called the Scuba Legging; Shoes are Unisa, purchased through DSW..here is another great pair to try; Scarf – unknown– here’s one suggestion; Ostrich clutch is a vintage piece from my timelessly chic grandmother, whose style transcends decades…thanks Nena!

Oh, and I guess now would be a good time to note the switcharoo in posts… Wednesday’s Eat of the Week and Friday Finds are no more. It’s now Wear It Wednesday and Friday Flavors. The food inspiration will come just in time to treat yourself to something yummy over the weekend!
