Full On 70’s

Oct 9, 2014 | Fashion

Fully embracing all that I missed out on from the 1970’s with this look…whyyyy wasn’t I alive then??  It’s easy enough to mix and match vintage pieces into “modern” items, but at this point in fashion, I can’t even tell what’s “modern” anymore, and I love a full on 70’s look…soo, why not.  (Just pretend my massive scarf is a skiiinny one).

I feel like each decade in the past had such a distinct style, and now it’s just a hodgepodge of reinvented looks, blended from every which era.  At least we have quite an eclectic mix of styles to choose from.  A flapper inspired beaded dress with an 80’s style bomber jacket, polished off with a pair of 90’s Doc Martens…anything goes.  And I am all for a blending of unexpected pieces.  But today I’m “Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive..”
