Nouvelle Apartments Tysons Corner:
For those thinking about moving to Tysons Corner or simply looking for a new building in the area, Nouvelle is a no-brainer. It feels like a fancy getaway, with its expansive green space equipped with grills and fireplaces, and its cabana lined pool area. I couldn’t get over feeling like I’d left the DMV area and checked in to a 5 star resort. The buildings looming around it give it a swanky, metropolitan vibe, and Tysons Corner appears far more city-like from this oasis vantage point. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the rooms and common areas are comfortable, well laid out, and beautifully constructed.
I had the pleasure of hosting a girly movie night in the Nouvelle theater room, and the space really lends itself to a good time. Ample seating (and super comfy!) with a huge screen, nice lighting and sound, and a large counter area for laying out party food and drinks. Nouvelle was incredibly accommodating and offered us a popcorn and candy station and yummy drinks. Girls, candy, a great space, and a classic film made for a perfect summer night (thank you Nouvelle! And thanks, Gechi for co-hosting!)
And to debunk the notion that Tysons is perhaps the “boonies”, I will note that it is continuously becoming a more urban, livable spot. With new metro stations and restaurants, a couple great malls and movie theaters, easy commute to “the big city” or VA wine country, I’d say it’s on par with Arlington living. Check out the Plaza for free concerts and fitness classes (Ingrid Michaelson will be performing this Friday, July 29th), and grab dinner at Founding Farmers– no longer just for D.C. folks, or the new Barrel & Bushel.
